Get your Dial-Up Numbers Before You Travel

Planning on using your computer to access the Internet while traveling? If this will involve accessing your ISP and not using an Internet Cafe or Internet service provided by your hotel, it might be a good idea to find your ISP phone numbers BEFORE you start your journey! You don't want to have to fumble through phone books, calling your ISP's 1-800 or long distance support number, and be placed on hold or in a maze of voicemail confusion just to check your e-mail.

If you use a national ISP (Juno, AOL, Earthlink, etc.) just visit their web site. Most services let you enter in the phone number where you plan on staying and will provide you with a list of local access numbers, if applicable.

It's better to prepare, and not be like this guy.
