Keeping Your Shirt During Casino Trips |
||||||
|
For many people this is going to sound REALLY corny... but if you have some willpower, this may work! If your travels involve visiting casinos, here is something you can do to help keep you from going completely broke. Figure out how much you can lose (yes, forget the thoughts of winning millions, but think of how much you can afford to lose - and only YOU can make that decision!) for the whole trip. Divide it by the number of days you plan on visiting casinos. Then, place each division of money in a separate envelope, label the envelope by day, and tape the envelope shut. For example, if you are planning on going on a trip to Vegas for four nights and can afford to lose a thousand dollars ($1,000.00), create four envelopes with $250.00 each and label them by date. Every day of the trip, open the new day's envelope, and DO NOT open the next day's envelope until the next day. And if you come out ahead one day, so much the better... it just gives you more money to play with the next day. Of course, you should be careful where you keep these envelopes in your hotel - use a room safe or ask your hotel manager if they have a safe in their office. Putting the envelopes in a downstairs locked and secure safe - what a great way to help make sure you don't lose more money than you can afford! This will force you to have to walk downstairs and talk to someone in order to acquire your cash, and might help keep you from spending too much on a particular day. -=-= Andrew Malek is the developer of TravelScreensavers.com, offering virtual multimedia travelogues of many areas across the United States, including the Great Smoky Mountains and Chicago. |
